Raindrop Therapy Technique

Raindrop technique is one of the safest, noninvasive techniques available for balance and alignment as well as promoting healing from within using specific amounts of topically applied essential oils.

It is an excellent way to boost the immune system and to detox your body.  It may also help reduce inflammation and rid your body of viruses that hibernate along the spinal column.

During a 90 minute session certain oils and techniques are applied to specific areas on the body.  Each has their own unique properties and benefits.  These oils and techniques stimulate the Central Nervous System.

Because the Central Nervous System has been affected, every system within your body has received a treatment as well.

At times additional oils may be added to a session depending on what concerns or issues you may be experiencing.

This technique was developed by Dr. Gary Young, N.D.  He is one of North America’s leading experts on the art and science of essential oils.

Fee: $120.00 for 90 minute session

A variety of techniques are incorporated in to the session to address your specific needs, (i.e, stress relief, TMJ dysfunction, migraines, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, neck pain, lower back pain, improve immune function).  The session is customized to each individual.  This is an effective way to reduce chronic tension and to help prevent it from returning.

Traditional Thai Massage

Traditional Thai massage is an ancient healing system that combines broad and targeted acupressure, stimulation and manipulation of energy lines called sen, and assisted yoga postures. Treatment effects are enhanced when the patient is fully relaxed and breathing deeply.

Traditional Thai massage rarely uses oils or lotions, and the recipient remains clothed during a treatment. There is constant body contact between the practitioner and client, the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension. The practitioner uses thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to create a dance of movement on the body of the recipient. In this process, joints are opened, muscles and tendons are stretched, internal organs are toned, and energy is balanced. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well-being.

This modality began to evolve in Thailand over 1,000 years ago. Based on healing principles similar to those of other Eastern healing arts, the Thai system focuses on circulation of vital energy in major pathways called sen. Energy lines are manipulated, and important pressure points along these pathways are stimulated to help break down blockages, stimulate energy flow and restore balance and harmony.

Fee: $140.00 session varies between 90 and 120 minutes

Reflexology

Reflexology is a type of bodywork which dates back thousands of years that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Fee varies depending on length of session.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930’s by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.  This deep specific tissue work breaks the pain cycle by relaxing the tissues as well as balancing an overstimulated nervous system.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue therapy intended to eliminate pain, increase range of motion, and rebalance the entire body. It does this by using massage techniques to stretch the fascia and release the bonds that exist between the fascia, muscles and bones. Fascia is the connective tissue that connects and covers all muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Direct myofascial release is sometimes known as deep tissue work. Indirect release applies light pressure and gently stretches the fascia; this allows for increased blood circulation and relief from pain.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy Massage is a style of bodywork designed specifically for pregnant women. Pregnancy is a time when a woman’s body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical and emotional changes. Using various techniques specially developed for the expecting mother, Pregnancy Massage helps release the pain and discomfort experienced throughout pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the relief of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, and improved breathing and relaxation.
